Baked Potato Fillings

Bake potatos in a microwave, it is in fashion.  Cooking in oven or on gas has become old fashioned. Instant meals like baked potatos with different kinds of fillings are delicious and preferred by everyone. If you want to go for a flaky outer layer, do not put the potato in a foil. But if you want a crisp one, then go for potato wrapping with a foil before putting it in the machine.

Would you like to go for baked potato fillings cowboy style?  Bake the potato in an oven. Take it out after it is baked. Scoop out the inner meaty portion. Mash and mix this with cheddar cheese, put it in the oven, and there you are with a mouth watering potato dish.

Leeks can be used along with Fontana for another delicious dish of baked potato fillings. 4 potatos, medium in size, an equal number of leeks and 140 g of better and 180 coarsely grated Fontina will give you another tasty dish. Peel off the potatos, wash them and salt them to dry for sometime. The potatos are baked at 200 degree Celsius, see that the skin is crisp and insides are soft.  The process takes 40-45 minutes.

Leeks are halved, washed and cut into thin parts. Cook these leeks in half portion of the butter which is with you. Cook till they become soft. Cut the potatos and scoop out the inner flesh. Mix the grated cheese with the scooped out potato and add to it butter that is left behind along with the leeks. Beat the whole mixture to a creamy concoction. Add salt and pepper to taste. Fill the hollowed potatos, and put them back in the oven for at least 15 minutes.

Baked beans along with cheese makes for another tasty baked potato filling. Heinz beans and potatos will bring lot of fibre with them.

Those who love to cook, create their own recipes. Some roll up the potato in butter and wrap it up with a foil, piercing of potato is a must before wrapping it up. When you heat it, butter will seep into it. A potato with crisp outer layer and soft buttered inner portion is ready for the table.
